THE OTIUM VILLA AND THE OLD TOWN OF MINORI
This rare example of an Otium villa on the coast dates back to the first century A.D. This transcendent landscape, suspended between the sea and the sky, was one of the most popular destinations for those Ancient Roman. The archaeological remains of the residential structure are visible only on the side closest to the sea. Accompanied by a guide, visitors retrace the various rooms, the historical context, and the history of how the site was discovered. After the visit, participants will also have an opportunity to visit the majestic Cathedral rebuilt in the 1700 on the original roman drawing. In the noon guests can choose to enjoy the benefit of a Otium Roman bath, have a sweet break at the popular Bakery Sal De Riso or take part to a ceramic class.
